What happens during the initial assessment?

Our initial assessment gives us the opportunity to understand you, your dog and your training goals. We will assess your dog's current ability, discuss any challenges you may be experiencing and recommend the most suitable training pathway to help you progress.

Is 1-2-1 training suitable for all dogs?

Yes. Our 1-2-1 training is tailored to each individual dog and handler, making it suitable for puppies, young dogs and adult gundogs of all experience levels. Whether you are starting from the beginning, building confidence or refining existing skills, sessions are adapted to meet your needs.

What age can my puppy start 1-2-1 training?

Puppies can begin training as soon as they are ready to start learning and engaging with their handler. Our puppy 1-2-1 sessions are designed for dogs up to 12 months old and focus on building the essential foundations needed for future gundog training.

What should I bring to my training session?

Please bring your dog’s usual equipment, including a suitable lead, whistle, treats or rewards (if you use them) and your dog’s favourite toy if appropriate. We recommend bringing anything you regularly use at home or in the field so we can help you get the best results from your training.

How many 1-2-1 sessions will my dog need?

Every dog and handler is different, so the number of sessions required will depend on your goals, your dog's current ability and how consistently training is practised between sessions. After your initial assessment, we will provide guidance on the best route forward for your individual training journey.
