MIXED BREED RESET GUNDOG HOLIDAY

3 Days | Tatenhill, Burton-on-Trent| DE13, UK
7 Spaniel Spaces | 7 Retriever Spaces | £297

The shooting season can be great fun for our Gundogs, but it can also be the time when a few bad habits creep in and training starts to take a back seat! Our three-day Reset Gundog Holiday is the perfect opportunity to get your training back on track, work through any issues that have appeared over the season and set you and your dog up for the months ahead.

Across three days of focused training at Tatenhill, we’ll revisit the foundations, sharpen up obedience and work on the areas that need a little extra attention — giving you a clear focus and renewed confidence in your training. Whether you’ve spent the season picking-up, beating, shooting over your dog or simply found that winter training has slipped, this holiday is all about pressing reset and moving forward.

What to expect:

- Three full days of gundog training

- Small groups with dedicated trainer support

- Separate training tailored to spaniels and retrievers

- Focus on obedience and refreshing the foundations

- Opportunity to work through issues that have developed over the season

- Goal setting and a clear direction for your training going forward

Frequently asked questions

Are your training holidays suitable for all breeds?

Yes. We offer a range of training holidays, including breed-specific events and mixed-breed holidays. Each event is carefully planned to provide the most suitable training experience for the dogs attending, allowing both handlers and dogs to get the most from their time with us.

Can beginners attend your training holidays?

Absolutely. We run holidays for novice handlers and young or inexperienced dogs, where the focus is on building confidence, developing foundations and progressing at a comfortable pace. We also offer more advanced holidays for experienced handlers and dogs working at a higher level.

How do I know which holiday is right for me and my dog?

Each holiday includes information about the recommended experience level, whether it is suitable for novice, open or advanced dogs, and whether it is breed-specific or mixed breed. If you're unsure, we're always happy to help you choose the most appropriate event for you and your dog.

What can I expect from a Millroe Gundogs training holiday?

Our training holidays combine expert coaching with practical, hands-on training in a friendly and supportive environment. You'll enjoy structured training sessions, personalised guidance and the opportunity to train alongside like-minded handlers while developing your dog's skills and confidence.

Do I need a working gundog to attend?

No. We welcome both working and pet gundogs on many of our training holidays. Some holidays are designed purely for training and enjoyment, while others may include the use of shot or be aimed at dogs preparing for work in the field. We will always make this clear in the holiday description, but if you're unsure which event is right for you and your dog, please get in touch—we'll be happy to help you choose the most suitable option.
